Elderberry and Aronia are known for having very high levels of antioxidants. However, not all antioxidants have the same effect in the human body. Absolutely, our kits are Organic. We were a Certified Organic Farm  and we no longer support the scam that the USDA Organic Process has become. Now-a-days, organic certifying agencies are like big credit card banks; they want a percentage of gross sales and that gets passed on to the end user.

To make matters worse, USDA Organic Standards allow over 20 pesticides and even more herbicides that are far more deadly toxic than synthetics. Another example: Our prepared syrup, uses honey from here in the USA. The USDA, as of 2021, agrees that honey can not be certified organic. Bees can not be guaranteed to only collect pollen from certified organic plants. Unexplainably, the USDA has also decided, a foreign country can "believe" their honey can be organic and the USDA will allow foreign producers to undermine US beekeepers by labelling their honey "organic" for sale in the USA. Hmmm...

Here at Edn Farms we farm the old way, literally! There is no need for herbicides or pesticides because we carefully rotate crops, we do not plant in monocultures, and we cultivate mechanically or by hand.

Ednberry is more than just elderberry! Ednberry is a handcrafted blend of highly antioxidant ingredients. Each ingredient of each kit or syrup is individually measured to ensure Ednberry's efficacy and flavor.  As listed above, elderberry benefits have been described for centuries. Aronia berry is a more expensive and more powerful berry. In fact, it is so powerful that it is better known as "chokeberry" because of it's tartness and astringency. However, when blended with elderberry in just the right proportions the two team up to take on a completely fruitful bouquet and flavor. 

If you take the recommended prophylaxis serving for an adult of 1 Tablespoon/day. Each prepared Ednberry kit would last 1 adult approximately 2 months. Therefore, a 1 year supply at that consumption rate would be 6 boxes per adult.

Keep in mind, the recommended adult serving while battling a cold is 3 Tablespoons/day and for influenza it is an entire 32 oz of prepared Ednberry in sips beginning as soon as liquids don’t come back up.

We recommend preparing your kit within a year for maximum flavor profile. If they are kept in a cool dry place for few years there should be no problem benefit-wise and at worst they may lose a little of the fabulous flavor.

Calculating all of these factors, 7 to 8 boxes should cover 1 adult for a year.

Many published medical journal studies have recommended the amount for efficacy of elder berries anthocyanins, when clinically studied for mitigating colds or Respiratory Syncytial Viruses (RSV), to be 110mg and 3.5 grams for flu. These adult amounts can be found in 3 tablespoons or an entire 32oz. of prepared Ednberry syrup, respectively.  We take Ednberry prophylactically at 1 Tbsp/day for an adult and 1tsp/day for a child.

Our Ednberry syrup kits are shelf stable when kept in a cool dry place. They are labeled with a "best by" date for maximum flavor and freshness. Once you have received your syrup, or prepared your syrup making kit as syrup, it will easily keep in the refrigerator for 60 days, if it it has not been consumed before then because of it's deliciousness.  We recommend shaking before each use. 

No. It takes a lot of time measuring every individual ingredient in each kit, but my family and your family is worth it. Unfortunately many have come to think of elderberry as a get rich quick process. Not realizing the amount of hard work that must go into to every properly prepared kit, some makers tend to take short cuts to save time and effort. The most common short cut is to pour all ingredients into a large container for mixing and scoop out and appropriate size amount for each kit. Because of the size and volume/weight differences of the individual ingredients, this always leads to a drastically different proportion ratios.
